Now in its eighth edition, The Columbia Threadneedle Prize is Europe's leading open competition for figurative and representational art. The exhibition runs from the 3rd to 20th February 2016 at the Mall Galleries, London.

The L.P.S. prize was created in 2005 by the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers and the Lynn Foundation to encourage the very best creative representational painting and promote the skill of draughtsmanship.
With prize money of £30,000, the Prize is one of the most prestigious awards to artists in the UK.
Rupert is one of around 100 artists shortlisted for the award.
Rupert was delighted to have won 2nd prize at the Artist & Illustrators Artist of the year 2014 with his painting 'Heading Home'.
The exhibition was organised by Artist and Illustrators magazine and 50 artists were shortlisted for the exhibition held at the Mall Galleries in Jan 2015.
Rupert has recently had the honour of having his self-portrait 'Two minutes to Midnight' selected for the front cover of a brand new book about South West Artists. The South West Academy's new publication, Art, People, Place is a lavishly illustrated book, featuring high-quality reproductions of the academicians work, and gives a fascinating insight into their private worlds and the history of the Academy. It can be found in selected book shops and also via the Academy website.

'Marmalade and Bread', a new still life by Rupert was selected for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries.

Rupert's painting 'An Arms Length' was selected by art critic Estelle Lovatt for the ING Discerning Eye exhibition 2013 at the Mall Galleries in London.
The exhibition is a show of small works independently selected by six prominent figures from different areas of the art world: two artists, two collectors and two critics.
Work is selected from open submission and from artists invited by the individual selectors.
Each selector's section is hung separately giving the impression of six small exhibitions within the whole.
Rupert was recently elected as an academician of the prestigious South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts (SWAc).
